Automated Booking Reminders and No-Show Processing Now Live in BarberCore
Another important milestone shipped today on BarberCore.uk, focused on one of the most critical areas for any barber shop: appointment reliability and no-show handling.
The first major improvement is a fully automated booking reminder system. The system now checks upcoming appointments regularly and sends timely reminders to customers automatically, without you needing to do anything manually.
Reminders are sent only when they make sense. The system targets confirmed or pending bookings happening soon and makes sure customers never receive the same reminder twice. This helps reduce missed appointments while keeping communication clean and professional.
Every reminder email is branded to your barber shop and includes the correct booking details, so customers always know when and where their appointment is. Each reminder is also recorded in the booking history, giving you a clear view of what was sent and when.
The reminder system runs automatically in the background. It starts, stops, and recovers on its own, so reminders continue to go out reliably without manual checks or setup.
Alongside reminders, the no-show handling system has now been fully completed. Each day, the platform automatically checks for missed appointments and marks them as no-shows where appropriate.
This process respects your shop’s settings and handles everything consistently, including booking status updates, customer communication, and any related charges or refunds when enabled. You stay in control, but the work is done for you.
All changes are tracked clearly, so you always have a full history of what happened with each booking. If needed, there is also a manual admin option for exceptional situations.
Most importantly, all of this runs live inside a real multi-shop platform. Every barber shop is handled separately, securely, and reliably, with systems working together behind the scenes to keep your business running smoothly.
No demos. No mockups.
Just real automation solving real problems in everyday barber shop operations.
Building this has been intense—but extremely rewarding. And this is only one step forward.
More to come.
